Free Software Foundation
From en.swpat.org
Free Software Foundation (FSF) is an organisation focused on giving certain freedoms to computer users. As part of this, they have been fighting against software patents since the late 1980s.
As well as their own campaigning, FSF financed the End Software Patents campaign, and the Patent Absurdity film.
FSF has published many essays about software patents on gnu.org. A list can be found at Richard Stallman#Articles
