For the 2008 in re Bilski case at the US appeals court, Dell filed a brief with Microsoft arguing for software patents:

(Note: siding with MS on patent issues is usually a bad thing, but in this case MS was the victim of a software patent, so it's possible that siding with them was the right thing to do. Analysis welcome.)
Dell is a "Tier 1" member of NZICT, which lobbies actively for software patents in New Zealand.
