Latvia

Hi,

Thanks for starting the Latvia article. Can you put something on the page to say why an immigration policy link should be in this wiki? Thanks. Ciaran 07:17, 31 May 2013 (EDT)

I think now it is better. Say me if you want to do some improvements. By time I will do it on my own, of course. It is because I show interest in Wikipedia which are not wikipedia.org. --109.110.15.63 08:14, 31 May 2013 (EDT)

Ok, that's useful. The immigration link could be replaced by a link to the European Commission's website confirming that Latvia is subject to EU law. That would be clearer. There's not much of a connection between software patents and immigration policy or even the Schengen agreement.
Do you know if the Latvian members of the European Parliament voted for or against software patents in the 2003 and 2005 votes on the software patents directive? Or what way the Latvian member of the Council of Ministers voted?
It would also be useful to add a link to groups that have campaigned against software patents in Latvia. Thanks. Ciaran 08:40, 31 May 2013 (EDT)
