European Parliament
From en.swpat.org
The European Parliament represents the citizens of the European Union and has an important role in the legislative process.
During the EU software patents directive, the Parliament was consistently against software patents. They supported the anti-software-patent amendments in September 2003, and they finally rejected the directive outright in June 2005.
