Z4 v. Microsoft and Autodesk (2006, USA)
Microsoft was ordered to pay US$115 million in April 2006. At this point, Autodesk settled out of court.
Microsoft's fine was later increased to US$142, and finally settled out of court for an undisclosed amount. Microsoft had asked the US Supreme Court to review an aspect of the case but this procedure was cancelled when the litigation was settled out of court.
