I'm a vigorous supporter of free software and a vigorous opponent of what many authors have called the "second enclosure movement," which seeks (in effect) to shut down the freedoms offered by our new technologies. As Eben Moglen said, die Gedanken sind frei: thoughts are free. We must make sure they remain that way.
