There's no page on the wiki for what happened in New Zealand in 2010 with MS and IBM telling the government to change their plans to ban software patents.

[edit] Need something on US messages to EU in 2005
I seem to remember some communications from a US government body to an EU institution during the 2003-2005 software patents directive lobbying. It said, in other words, that software should be patentable and I think it made an indirect reference to TRIPS (by a mention of "international obligations" or similar).
