Sonia Sotomayor (US Supreme Court Justice) on software patents

From en.swpat.org
(Redirected from Justice Sotomayor)
Jump to: navigation, search

Sonia Sotomayor, or Justice Sotomayor joined the US Supreme Court in 2009.

Sotomayor was previously married to a patent lawyer.[1] This lead to some worries that she would be very pro-patent, but this doesn't seem to be the case.

[edit] Bilski hearing

(see: The Bilski hearing transcript, as text)

In the Bilski v. Kappos hearing of November 2009, she called the CAFC's ruling on in re Bilski "extreme".
